$400 for Four Days For A Family Of Four in Mt Washington Valley's Winter Playground

Explore 2, 3 and 4 night wallet-saver itineraries loaded with fun winter activities for a family of four, for $400 in Mt Washington Valley, NH.


North Conway, NH - If holiday spending has you tightening your vacation budget, fear not! Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce has put together two, three and four night itineraries all of which come in at under $400 for a family of four. This winter, spend quality fun time with the family without breaking the bank, in beautiful Mt. Washington Valley, NH.

 

For approximately $400 each, these itineraries can be mixed and matched to customize your wallet-friendly getaway. Unless otherwise specified, all rates are quoted for midweek during non-holiday periods and do not include 9% New Hampshire Rooms and Meals taxes. All rates quoted are subject to change.


2 Night Mt Washington Valley, NH Family of Four Itinerary:
2 nights lodging in a two bedroom family suite, breakfast for four each morning, 2 days skiing at Black Mountain, skating at Schouler Park
Lodging:
For $110 per night midweek, book the Family Suite (lower level) at the Old Field House in Intervale, NH accommodating a family of four perfectly with a queen bedroom and a twin over double bunk beds in the kids' room. Guests at The Old Field House enjoy a hearty complimentary buffet breakfast including Belgian waffles, sausage links, eggs, a variety of fresh baked coffee cakes and breads, "vacation cereals," (the ones with all the sugar) fruits, fresh ground Black Bear coffee, teas, hot chocolate juices and more. All rooms have private baths, refrigerators, cable color television and DVD players, telephones plus the kids can enjoy the game room in the common area.
Activities:
Day One & Two:
Purchase the Black Mountain Family Passport where two adults and two juniors (Ages 6-17) ski for just $79 midweek during non holiday periods. Celebrating its 75th year of skiing, Black Mountain offers "heritage skiing" with terrain for the whole family and views worth skiing for!
Day Three:
Spend the day skating at Schouler Park in North Conway Village. This public skating rink is free and open to the public. Bring your own skates for a fun activity free of charge or rent them at Joe Jones' Sun & Ski Sports located just north of the park. Rentals are $10 per person per day.

3 Night Mt Washington Valley Family of Four Itinerary:
3 nights motel lodging, complimentary morning beverages, ice skating, snowshoeing, tubing and Children's Museums
Lodging:
Stay at the family-friendly Colonial Motel in North Conway Village where all rooms offer refrigerators, cable TV, high speed wireless internet and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. Book a room with two queen beds or a room with two double beds including a Whirlpool tub/shower combination in the bath for $74 per night midweek during non-holiday periods. Every morning enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate and tea as well as a coupon for up to 10% off breakfast at one of several local restaurants.
Activities:
Day One:
Spend the day enjoying the outdoors. Purchase the Ice Skating and Snow Shoeing Package at Nestlenook Estate & Resort in Jackson, NH. This package includes a one hour ice skate pass and a one hour snow shoe trail pass, plus skate and snow shoe rentals for $16.50 per adult and $12.50 per child (ages 3-12).
Day Two:
Bring your children to the Mount Washington Valley Children's Museum located just north of North Conway Village. The MWV Children's Museum, open Wednesday through Sunday, offers interactive exhibits including fun play areas, music, science and art activities for young children. Admission to the MWV Children's museum is $5 per person (valid for the entire day).
Day Three:
Take a sleigh ride at Remick Country Doctor Museum & Farm in Tamworth, NH. Sleigh rides are available Monday through Friday and every other weekend. Trips leave every half hour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sleigh rides are just $5 per person (children under 4 years old free), must be pre-registered and paid in advance.
Day Four:
Experience the fun of lift-serviced snowtubing down thrilling snow chutes at Pine Meadows Tubing Park at King Pine in Madison, NH. Tickets are just $15 per person for each two hour session. The tubing park is open for two sessions on Fridays: 5 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on the weekends.

Motel lodging for four nights, complimentary coffee and tea, snowshoeing, weather observing, ice skating, snow sculpting, movies
Lodging:
Stay at the School House Motel in North Conway, NH in a room with two double beds for $64 per night midweek. All rooms offer individually controlled heat and air conditioning, color cable TV, phones and free coffee and tea in the main office area.
Activities:
Day One:
Take the family cross country skiing at Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Foundation in Intervale, NH. A full day trail pass is $10 per adult and $7 for juniors ages 6 to 14. Add ski equipment rentals for just $15 per person for a full day of family cross country fun.
Day Two:
Visit the Mount Washington Observatory's Weather Discovery Center for a FREE day of interactive science exhibits. The Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center is a hands-on science museum for kids of all ages, featuring interactive exhibits and a twice daily live video connection to the Observatory's weather station on the summit of Mount Washington. Explore the weather, climate and environment of the Mount Washington region through the "wind room," a replica of the Observatory's original weather station where the world record 231 mph wind was recorded in 1934 or try the mini weather studio, featuring an authentic green screen and monitor.
Day Three:
Enjoy the snow in Schouler Park, where the entire family can enjoy the day playing in the snowset in the village of North Conway. Build a snowman, a snow fort, challenge family members to a snowball fight or bring skates and enjoy FREE skating in the outdoor skating rink. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate from The Metropolitan Coffee House also located in North Conway Village just north of the park.
Day Four:
After three days of family-friendly outdoor activities, relax with an afternoon at the movies. Head to the Majestic Theatre in Conway, NH, where ticket prices are just $6 for all shows before 1 p.m. and $8 for later show times. Round up the family and take in a flick!
Day Five:
Go shopping. You can't leave for home without souvenirs from your winter getaway! Visit Zeb's General Store in North Conway Village for the largest selection of New England made specialty food items in the country, in an atmosphere that recreates the look and feel of an early 1900's general store. Kids will love anteing up to the old fashioned candy counter with hundreds of items to choose from. With penny candy and candy by the pound, this sweet experience won't break the bank.
